Talkhoops.net's Player Rankings Method
Talkhoops.net's All-Time Player Ranking System/Method is very similar to our current player ranking system. The difference between the All-Time players and the Current players is that the thought of contracts and contract length don't come into play. We put special emphasis on stats, success, and historical significance. Perhaps a player like Bob Cousy isn't as talented or skilled as a current player like Gilbert Arenas or Mike Conley, Jr. but his place in history as a revolutionary in the way the point guard position was played makes him much higher on the list.
There will be very few current players listed. Current players need to have been in the league for at least 7 years and have had a very important impact on today's game. So LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Nickoloz Tskitishvili will not make the list. The rankings are decided in the mind of Talkhoops.net owner/editor Zach Harper. Any issues with them should be directed towards him. Here's the email link to let Zach know how brilliant or moronic he is.
