Eddie Maisonet aka "Ed The Sports Fan" is a 24-year old sports enthusiast, born and raised to a military family from Lawton, Oklahoma. A graduate from the "School on the Hill", Langston University with a BBA in Organizational Management. In 2006, Eddie moved to take a career opportunity in Cincinnati, Ohio and has lived here in past year and a half. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. and volunteers as a big brother for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America.
 
A fan of all sports, Eddie has been in love with sports since his grandfather introduced him to the Atlanta Braves and baseball at 5 years of age. Since then, sports has been life. From waking up in the morning everyday watching SportsCenter, to playing Madden on the PlayStation before going to bed, athletics has been his driving force.

In regards to the game of basketball, as a player Eddie attained the nickname "Big Smooth" from the great Sam Perkins. Not known as much of a defensive threat, Eddie did have an uncanny ability to shoot the 3. Big Smooth's career ended in high school.

As a sports fan, his first loyalties include all things from the state of Oklahoma, Sooners & Cowboys stand up! So if and when the "Sonics" come to Oklahoma, they will have his allegiance. After that, Eddie is a die-hard Indiana Pacers fan. More specifically a Reggie Miller fan, its been a rocky ride but hopefully things will improve for the Pacers. His favorite players are now Stephen Jackson, Carmelo Anthony, Brandon Roy, Chris Paul, and Ron Artest.
