I'm late on this but I just now caught up on all of my basketball from Friday night and was amazed by this dunk from Derrick Rose, as was the rest of the world.

Kevin Durant called it "NBA live 2004-ish." (via Kevin Arnovitz at TrueHoop)

I'm calling it the dunk of the year so far. I might be forgetting five better dunks. But this dunk just did for me. It's something we've been missing from Rose that we saw in his high school days.



Oh what the hell. Here are the high school dunks I'm talking about.

Derrick Rose should have been charged for a felony for that dunk. The only thing that bothers me about it is that, if you had that type of athletic ability wouldn't you try and do that at least once a game? At the very least he has to come up with a wide open fast break dunk about every week right? How come he doesn't do this more often? I would seriously kill someone if I believed I would somehow be magically given this type of athletic ability.
